- Boil the gram dhal and the snake gourd separately in water.
- Put some oil in a wok or frying pan and fry the onion, tomatoes and all the spices and seeds.
- Add the dhal and snake gourd with the water in which it was cooked.
- Continue cooking on a low flame until it is thick. Add salt to taste. If you would like it thicker add some cooked potato.
1kg or more of snake gourd
350 grms of gram dhal,
2 chillies (more or less depending on hot you like your food),
½ teaspoon of turmeric,
½ teaspoon large jeera,
½ teaspoon mustard seeds
