Flaked rice and dhall from Sivakala in Buddha Garden kitchen

Description / Method: 

Makes enough for 4-5 people

  1. First make the flaked rice mixture
  2. Cut all the vegetables and fry together in the oil
  3. When half cooked then the flaked rice and 2 litre of water.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes or until everything is cooked through.

While the flaked rice is cooking make the dhal.

 

  1. Cook the dhal in 1 litre of water until it is soft
  2. Fry the mustard seed,  ulundu and jeerain in the oil
  3. Then add the chill and fry everything together until cooked.

Mix the spice mixture with the dhal and serve with the flaked rice.

Ingredients:

¼ kg carrots

¼ kg beans

¼ kg onions

¼ kg tomato

2 chilli

100 mm oil

½ teaspoon mustard seed

½ teaspoon ulundu

½ teaspoon coriander leaf

2 litres of water
